College Basketball's Top Event Remains Cornerstone of Early Season Slate

November Showcase Features Top Four Teams, Broadcast on ESPN

The State Farm Champions Classic, college basketball's premier early season event, will continue its run as the sport's top showcase through 2028. ESPN Events, Learfield and the four participating schools – Duke, Kansas, Kentucky and Michigan State – announced a six-year extension of the agreement that began in 2011.

The Champions Classic will remain a staple of the ESPN Networks' college basketball schedule, airing exclusively on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU throughout the term of the new agreement. The event will continue to feature the four participating schools playing in a round-robin format at neutral sites, with each team playing one game per season.

The Champions Classic has quickly become one of the most anticipated events on the college basketball calendar. Since its inception, the event has featured some of the biggest names in the sport, including Zion Williamson, Paolo Banchero, Anthony Davis, Jabari Parker and Karl-Anthony Towns.

The 2023 State Farm Champions Classic will be held on Tuesday, November 14, at the United Center in Chicago. The matchups will feature Duke vs. Kansas and Michigan State vs. Kentucky.

The 2024 State Farm Champions Classic will be held on Tuesday, November 12, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The matchups will feature Duke vs. Michigan State and Kansas vs. Kentucky.

The 2025 State Farm Champions Classic will be held on Tuesday, November 18, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The matchups will feature Duke vs. Kentucky and Kansas vs. Michigan State.
