In a shocking turn of events, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong were eliminated from "Dancing with the Stars" during Monday night's Week 8 results show.

The couple's elimination came as a surprise to many, as they had consistently received high scores from the judges throughout the competition. However, their fate was sealed after they landed in the bottom two alongside Heidi D'Amelio and Artem Chigvintsev.

After the results were announced, judge Carrie Ann Inaba was visibly emotional and had to take a moment to compose herself before speaking.

"I'm so sorry, Chandler and Brandon," Inaba said through tears. "You both have been such an inspiration to watch. You've grown so much as dancers, and you've brought so much joy to this competition."

Kinney and Armstrong thanked the judges and their fans for their support throughout the season.

"This has been an incredible journey," Kinney said. "We've learned so much, and we've made memories that we'll cherish forever."

"We're so grateful for everyone who has supported us," Armstrong added. "We couldn't have done it without you."

The remaining couples will compete in the semifinals next Monday night.
