ISTANBUL – After losing three straight EuroLeague games, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul returned to winning ways with a narrow 82-81 victory over ASVEL Villeurbanne on Thursday.

Nando De Colo led the way for Fenerbahce with 17 points, while Nigel Hayes added 16 points and seven rebounds. Guerschon Yabusele scored 18 points for ASVEL.

The hosts took an early lead, but ASVEL fought back to tie the game at 29 at the end of the first quarter.

Fenerbahce then found its rhythm in the second quarter, taking a 49-41 lead into halftime.

ASVEL continued to battle in the second half, but Fenerbahce managed to hold on for the win.

The win was a much-needed one for Fenerbahce, which had lost its last three games.

β€œIt was a very difficult game, but we were able to get the win," said Fenerbahce coach Dimitris Itoudis.

"We have a lot of young players, and they are still learning. But I think we have a lot of potential, and we can be a very good team.”

With the win, Fenerbahce improves to 11-12, while ASVEL falls to 10-13.
