Streak reaches six after win over Portland
HOUSTON -- Jalen Green scored 24 points and the Houston Rockets won their sixth straight game by beating the Portland Trail Blazers 125-106 on Wednesday.
Rockets win opens six-game homestand
Alperen Sengun added 19 points and 14 rebounds, and Kevin Porter Jr. had 18 points for the Rockets, who opened a six-game homestand with the victory. Anfernee Simons led the Trail Blazers with 27 points.
The Rockets (12-13) have won six straight for the first time since December 2021. They are 6-3 at home this season.
The Trail Blazers (11-14) have lost two straight and are 5-6 on the road this season.
Green made 9 of 19 shots from the field, including 4 of 9 from 3-point range. Sengun made 8 of 11 shots from the field and was 3 of 4 from the free-throw line.
Porter made 7 of 15 shots from the field, including 3 of 7 from 3-point range. He also had six assists.
The Rockets shot 49.5% from the field, including 40.0% from 3-point range. They also made 19 of 25 free throws.
The Trail Blazers shot 42.0% from the field, including 34.6% from 3-point range. They also made 13 of 17 free throws.
The Rockets outrebounded the Trail Blazers 47-33.
The Rockets will host the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday.
The Trail Blazers will visit the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday.
