Dazia Lawrence Explodes, Cats Better to 3-0
Wildcats Win Third Straight
Dazia Lawrence scored 22 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and blocked three shots as the Kentucky Wildcats improved to 3-0 with a 71-56 victory over the Bellarmine Knights on Tuesday night at Memorial Coliseum.
Lawrence was 8-of-12 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line for the Wildcats, who shot 44.4 percent from the field and 70.6 percent from the free throw line.
Cats Dominate the Boards
Kentucky outrebounded Bellarmine 43-24, including a 14-5 advantage on the offensive glass. Rhyne Howard added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats, while Treasure Hunt scored 11 points off the bench.
Bellarmine was led by Vanessa Smith, who scored 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds. The Knights shot just 33.3 percent from the field and 25 percent from three-point range.
Next Up for Kentucky
The Wildcats will return to action on Sunday, November 14, when they host the Elon Phoenix at Memorial Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. ET.
