Detroit Pistons tumble to 3-7 with 110-105 loss to Miami Heat
The Detroit Pistons dropped to 3-7 after a 110-105 loss to the Miami Heat on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena, their third straight defeat and second at home in as many nights.
The Pistons were led by Saddiq Bey's 27 points and Jaden Ivey's 19 off the bench, but they couldn't overcome a strong shooting night from the Heat, who hit 50% from the field and 41.2% from three-point range.
Miami was led by Bam Adebayo's 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Kyle Lowery added 19 points and 11 assists.
Ausar Thompson update, injury update
The Heat were without Jimmy Butler (knee) and Tyler Herro (ankle), and the Pistons were without Cade Cunningham (shin) and Isaiah Stewart (hip).
Thompson, the Pistons' first-round pick in the 2022 NBA draft, has not played yet this season due to a plantar fascia injury.
There is no timetable for his return.
The Pistons also announced before the game that Isaiah Livers (shoulder) is out indefinitely.
Livers has not played this season after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder in September.

The Pistons will host the Orlando Magic on Friday night at Little Caesars Arena.
