Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum miss practice after Blazers' loss to Suns

Blazers coach Chauncey Billups said he is unsure if Lillard or McCollum will play Thursday vs. the Lakers

The Portland Trail Blazers held a light practice Wednesday at their practice facility in Tualatin, Oregon, but two key players were absent: Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

Both Lillard and McCollum missed Tuesday's 119-113 loss to the Phoenix Suns due to injuries. Lillard is dealing with a right calf strain, while McCollum is nursing a left ankle sprain.

Blazers coach Chauncey Billups said after practice that he is unsure if Lillard or McCollum will play Thursday when the Blazers host the Los Angeles Lakers.

"We'll see how they feel tomorrow," Billups said. "They're both getting treatment and we'll see how they respond."

Lillard has been dealing with the calf strain for the past few weeks, but he has played through the pain. He scored 25 points in Tuesday's loss to the Suns, but he was clearly not at 100 percent.

McCollum has been dealing with the ankle sprain for the past few days. He did not play in Tuesday's loss to the Suns.

The Blazers are 1-3 in their last four games without Lillard and McCollum in the lineup. They will need both players to be healthy if they want to make a run in the playoffs.

The Blazers will host the Lakers on Thursday at the Moda Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. PT.
