British Mum Left 'Terrified' In Turkey Hotel After Claiming 'Intruder' Entered At Night
Distressing Incident
A British mother has spoken of her terror after she claims an "intruder" entered her hotel room in Turkey in the middle of the night.
The woman, who has not been named, said she was staying at the five-star Paloma Oceana Resort in Side, Antalya, with her husband and two children when the alleged incident happened.
She claims she woke up to find a man standing in the doorway of her room. She said the man was wearing a black hoodie and had his face covered with a scarf.
Frightening Encounter
The woman said she screamed and the man ran away, but she was left feeling "terrified" and "violated".
She said: "I was so scared. I didn't know what to do. I just wanted to protect my children."
The woman said she reported the incident to the hotel staff, but she claims they were not very helpful.
Hotel's Response
The hotel has since issued a statement saying that they are "aware of the incident" and that they are "investigating".
The statement said: "We are taking this matter very seriously and we are doing everything we can to assist the guest and her family.
We have increased security at the hotel and we are working with the local police to investigate the incident."
Ongoing Investigation
The local police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident and that they are treating it as a "priority".
A police spokesman said: "We are aware of the incident and we are investigating. We are treating this as a priority and we are doing everything we can to find the person responsible."
The British Embassy in Turkey has also been made aware of the incident and they are providing support to the woman and her family.
