Volleyball at San Jose State getting new life

Sparkle Anderson takes over San Jose State volleyball program

Anderson aims to improve Spartans' record and bring life back to their volleyball program

San Jose State University has hired a new head coach for its volleyball program. Sparkle Anderson, who has led Nevada to four NCAA Tournament appearances, will take over the reins of the Spartans.

San Jose State has had a dismal record in recent years, including an 0-11 record in the Mountain West Conference last season. Anderson will look to turn the program around and bring some life back to the volleyball program.

Anderson led Nevada to four NCAA Tournament appearances in her eight seasons at the helm of the Wolf Pack. She also coached one All-American and 28 All-Mountain West selections.
