Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II will miss his fifth straight game on Monday when the team hosts the Minnesota Timberwolves, coach Jason Kidd said. Lively is dealing with a sprained right shoulder.
Lively, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, has missed the Mavs' last four games. He is averaging 8.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game this season.
The Mavs are 2-2 in Lively's absence. They are currently in sixth place in the Western Conference with a record of 29-26.
