They Will Be Thinking – Huddersfield Star Sees Ruben Amorim Factor For Man Utd U21s
Huddersfield Town's German-born Ghanaian defender, Richard Nartey, has impressed at youth level for the Terriers and attracted the attention of Premier League giants Manchester United. The Red Devils approached Huddersfield with a view to signing the youngster in the summer of 2022.
Nartey is a versatile defender who can play at left-back or center-back. He is comfortable in possession and good at reading the game. He is also a threat going forward and has scored several goals for Huddersfield's U21s.
Nartey's performances have not gone unnoticed. In January 2023, he was called up to the England U19 squad for the first time. He made his debut for the Young Lions in a friendly against the Netherlands and played the full 90 minutes.
