Orange wins third straight game, improves to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in ACC play

Teisha Hyman leads the way with 22 points, Dyaisha Fair adds 17 points and 11 rebounds

The Syracuse Orange women’s basketball team defeated the Saint Joseph’s Hawks, 75-54, on Thursday night at the JMA Wireless Dome.

The Orange improved to 10-3 overall and 3-1 in ACC play with the victory.

Teisha Hyman led the way for Syracuse with 22 points, while Dyaisha Fair added 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Orange shot 48.6 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three-point range.

Saint Joseph’s was led by Talya Brugler, who had 15 points.

The Hawks shot 36.4 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from three-point range.

Syracuse led by just four points at the end of the first quarter, but the Orange extended their lead to 10 points by halftime.

The Orange continued to build on their lead in the second half, and they eventually won by 21 points.

With the win, Syracuse has now won three straight games.

The Orange will be back in action on Sunday when they host the Pittsburgh Panthers at the JMA Wireless Dome.
