The Syracuse Orange men's basketball team is set to face off against the Colgate Raiders on Wednesday, November 30th at 7:00 p.m. ET in the Carrier Dome. The Orange are coming off a 16-17 season, while the Raiders are coming off a 14-15 season. Syracuse is a heavy favorite in this matchup, but Colgate has a few things that could make this game interesting. First, the Raiders have a lot of experience. They have four seniors and three juniors in their starting lineup. Second, Colgate is a very good three-point shooting team. They shot 38.1% from three last season, which was 11th in the nation. However, Syracuse has a lot of talent as well. They have two potential lottery picks in Buddy Boeheim and Benny Williams. Boeheim is a 6'6" wing who can score from anywhere on the court. Williams is a 6'8" forward who is one of the best athletes in the country. In the end, Syracuse should be too much for Colgate. The Orange have more talent and experience, and they are playing at home. However, Colgate could make this game interesting if they can hit their three-pointers.In a recent poll of ACC media members, Syracuse was picked to finish third in the conference this season. The Orange received 104 votes, which was behind only Duke (150 votes) and North Carolina (140 votes).
