Ryan Rollins Injury: Unable to return Tuesday
Charlotte Hornets point guard Ryan Rollins is out indefinitely after suffering a right foot injury in Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers.
Rollins, who was averaging 10.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, went down with the injury with 4:51 remaining in the second quarter. He was driving to the basket when he stepped on Pacers forward Jalen Smith's foot and rolled his ankle.
Rollins was helped off the court and did not return. X-rays taken at the arena were negative, but an MRI on Tuesday revealed a sprain of the plantar fascia ligament.
The Hornets announced that Rollins will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
The injury is a big blow to the Hornets, who are already without starting point guard LaMelo Ball (ankle) and backup Dennis Smith Jr. (knee).
The Hornets are 10-24 this season and have lost seven of their last eight games.
