Two Routes to Paris
WEB athletes will have two options to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris:
By achieving the entry standard, which will be set by World Athletics.
Through the World Athletics Ranking System.
50% of the qualification places will be based on achieving the entry standard.
Entry Standard
The entry standard for each event will be determined by World Athletics and announced later this year. Athletes who achieve the entry standard will automatically qualify for the Paris 2024 Games.
World Athletics Ranking System
The remaining 50% of the qualification places will be allocated based on the World Athletics Ranking System. Athletes will earn points by competing in eligible competitions throughout the qualification period. The top-ranked athletes in each event will qualify for the Paris 2024 Games.
