Port Vale v Wrexham preview - no Hollywood blockbuster expected as Vale set to ring the changes
Relegation-threatened Port Vale host play-off chasing Wrexham in a crunch League Two clash on Tuesday night
James Wilson's 17th goal of the season condemned Vale to a 1-0 defeat at home to Rochdale on Saturday and leaves them third from bottom and just three points above the drop zone.
Vale boss Darrell Clarke is set to make changes to his team and is hoping for an improved performance after an abject display against Rochdale.
"I thought we looked really leggy," Clarke said. "I don't think we did ourselves justice and it was really frustrating to watch. I expect more from my players and I'm sure they expect more from themselves."
Wrexham, meanwhile, are seventh in the table and have been in good form since Phil Parkinson took over as manager in December.
They have won five of their last six games and are just three points off the play-off places.
However, Parkinson is not expecting an easy game at Vale Park.
"Port Vale are a good side and they're fighting for their lives," he said.
"They'll be up for it and we'll need to be at our best to get something from the game."
Team news
Port Vale are without defender Dan Jones (ankle) and midfielder Tom Conlon (hamstring).
Wrexham have no fresh injury concerns.
