Louisville pays tribute to veterans on Veterans Day
Parade and ceremony honor service members
Louisville, Ky. – The city of Louisville honored its veterans on Veterans Day with a parade and ceremony at Cave Hill Cemetery. The parade featured marching bands, military vehicles, and veterans from all branches of the military. The ceremony included a wreath-laying, a 21-gun salute, and a speech by Mayor Greg Fischer.

In addition to the parade and ceremony, American flags were placed on the graves of veterans at Cave Hill Cemetery. The flags were placed by volunteers from the Kentucky Chapter of the American Gold Star Mothers. The organization places flags on the graves of veterans every year on Veterans Day.
