LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Sahvir Wheeler made a career-high eight 3-pointers and scored 26 points to lead No. 20 Kentucky to a 98-63 victory over Wofford on Friday night. Wheeler hit four 3-pointers in a 12-0 run that gave Kentucky a 21-9 lead with less than eight minutes gone. The Wildcats never looked back, leading by double digits for the final 32 minutes. Oscar Tshiebwe added 14 points and 16 rebounds for his 11th double-double of the season. Jacob Toppin had 13 points and Antonio Reeves scored 12 for Kentucky (8-3). B.J. Mack led Wofford (5-4) with 17 points. Messiah Jones added 14 and Ryan Larson scored 12. Kentucky shot 55% from the field (36 of 66) and made 12 of 25 3-pointers. Wofford shot 38% (22 of 58) and was 7 of 22 from beyond the arc. Kentucky dominated the rebounding battle, outrebounding Wofford 46-24. The Wildcats have won three straight games since losing to Gonzaga on Nov. 20. They will host Yale on Tuesday before opening Southeastern Conference play at Mississippi State on Dec. 28. Wofford has lost two straight games following a five-game winning streak. The Terriers will host UNC Asheville on Sunday before taking a break for Christmas.
