Gautam Adani Hosts EU, German, Belgian And Danish Ambassadors
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, hosted a meeting with ambassadors from the European Union (EU), Germany, Belgium, and Denmark to discuss the growing economic ties between India and these countries.
The meeting, which took place at the Adani Group headquarters in Ahmedabad, was attended by EU Ambassador to India Ugo Astuto, German Ambassador to India Walter J. Lindner, Belgian Ambassador to India Jan Luykx, and Danish Ambassador to India Freddy Svane.
During the meeting, the ambassadors discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between India and their respective countries, with a particular focus on infrastructure development, renewable energy, and digitalization.
The Adani Group has been actively involved in infrastructure development in India, with a focus on ports, airports, roads, and railways. The group has also made significant investments in renewable energy, with a goal of becoming the world's largest renewable energy company by 2030.
The EU is India's largest trading partner, with bilateral trade amounting to over €100 billion in 2021. Germany is India's largest trading partner in Europe, with bilateral trade amounting to over €20 billion in 2021.
Belgium and Denmark are also important economic partners for India. Belgium is the third-largest investor in India from the EU, with cumulative investments of over €10 billion. Denmark is a leading partner in India's renewable energy sector, with several Danish companies investing in solar and wind projects in India.
