Suns Win 119-106 in Salt Lake City
In the NBA Cup opener, the Phoenix Suns took down the Utah Jazz in a 119-106 victory. Devin Booker and Bradley Beal led the Suns with 29 and 28 points, respectively.
Booker, Beal Shine in Opener
Booker shot 10-of-20 from the field and made all 7 of his free throws. Beal, meanwhile, shot 11-of-18 from the field. He also dished out 6 assists.
The Suns led by 10 at halftime, but the Jazz cut it to 5 in the third quarter. Phoenix pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Utah 30-18.
Suns Get Contributions Up and Down the Roster
In addition to Booker and Beal, Deandre Ayton had a solid game with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Chris Paul added 15 points and 9 assists.
For the Jazz, Lauri Markkanen led the way with 25 points. Jordan Clarkson added 20 points and 7 assists.
Suns Look to Continue Success
The Suns have now won their first two games of the season. They will look to continue their success when they face the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
The Jazz, meanwhile, will look to bounce back when they face the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday.
