Crews fight fire after explosion on West Franklin Street in Evansville
No injuries were reported by officials
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Evansville Fire Department crews responded to a house fire in the 700 block of West Franklin Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Officials with the Evansville Fire Department say the fire started around 3:30 p.m.
When crews arrived, they found the house heavily involved in flames.
Took about 30 minutes to get the fire under control
Because of the intense heat and flames coming from the building, it took crews about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.
No injuries were reported in the fire
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Evansville Fire Department would like to remind everyone to be careful when using space heaters and other heating devices.
Always keep space heaters at least three feet away from anything that can burn and never leave them unattended.
