Bucks’ Damian Lillard won’t play Tuesday against Raptors after entering concussion protocol
Bucks guard Damian Lillard will miss Tuesday's game against the Toronto Raptors after entering the NBA's concussion protocol.
Lillard suffered a head injury in the Bucks' 118-112 loss to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday. He was elbowed in the head by Pacers forward TJ Warren with 4:02 remaining in the third quarter and did not return to the game.
The Bucks announced Monday that Lillard had entered the concussion protocol and would be out indefinitely. He will be re-evaluated in the coming days.
Lillard is averaging 24.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game this season.
He is one of the Bucks' most important players and his absence will be a significant blow to the team.
The Bucks are currently 20-13 this season and are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference. They are one game behind the third-place Brooklyn Nets and two games behind the second-place Philadelphia 76ers.
The Bucks will host the Raptors on Tuesday at Fiserv Forum. The game will tip off at 7 p.m.
