Kentucky Defeats Ole Miss, 87-74, To Improve to 11-6
Brea Beal came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points as Kentucky defeated Ole Miss, 87-74, on Thursday night at the SJB Pavilion.
Beal, a sophomore guard, was 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point range. She also had four rebounds and three assists.
Kentucky (11-6, 2-3 SEC) led by just four points at halftime, but the Wildcats pulled away in the second half. Kentucky shot 52.9% from the field in the second half and made 8-of-15 three-pointers.
Rhyne Howard added 19 points for Kentucky, while Dreāuna Edwards had 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Ole Miss (8-9, 1-4 SEC) was led by Shakira Austin, who had 20 points and 11 rebounds. Madison Scott added 15 points for the Rebels.
With the win, Kentucky snapped a two-game losing streak. The Wildcats will return to action on Sunday when they host No. 1 South Carolina.
